

She is an author and director of more than 30
performances for Puppet and Drama Theater in Europe and the USA. Most of her
performances were presented at numerous international festivals around the world
such as: The International Theater Festival, Oxford, Ohio; International Meeting
of the Professional Puppet Schools, Charleville-Mezierre, France; Midfest
International, Middletown, Ohio; The Schomrahi International Festival, Skopie,
Macedonia; Intermarionett Festival at Saarbruken,Germany; International Figuren
Theater Festival, Offenbach, Germany; International Festival of the Young
Theaters, Liege, Belgium.
Her teaching credits include courses as a
visiting professor at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio; Brooklyn College, CUNY;
Mount St. Mary’s College, LA, guest lecturer at Georgetown University and
GeorgeWashington University, Washington DC; Associate Professor at NATFA,
Sofia, Bulgaria. Gina is currently a part time lecturer at Cal State San
Bernardino.
In 2008 Gina and her colleague from CSUSB, associate
professor J. Smith were recipients of a travel grant from TCG (Theatre
Communications Group) to present a collaborative, multimedia puppet performance
with the students from CSUSB at the International Puppet Festival in
Sofia, Bulgaria.
Gina publishes articles about puppetry in American and
Bulgarian professional magazines. She has made a presentations at the “Problems
of East European Theater Academies Conference”, Miami University,Oxford, Ohio;
at the International Meeting of the Professional Puppet Schools at Charleville-
Mezierre, France; special presentation at The National Theater Conference,
Eugene O’Neil Theater Complex, Storrs, Connecticut : “The Bulgarian School of
Puppetry”.

After receiving her MFA degree in Puppet Directing from NATFA
(National Academy for Theater and Film Arts),
Sofia, Bulgaria, Gina was awarded with
The Golden Dolphin for Directing - a very prestigious acknowledgment
for puppeteers at The International Festival
in Varna, Bulgaria.
